On June 5th, World Environment Day, we salute Maria de los Angeles Berru and the rest of Aurania’s environmental team for their excellent work at the Company’s Lost Cities – Cutucu Project in southeastern Ecuador.
Aurania’s approach to environmental sustainability is simple: while we are exploring an area, we share custody of the environment with the local communities and our aim is to leave the environment the way in which we found it. If an area has been impacted by human activities, our goal is to leave that area in a better state than that in which we found it.
UN World Environment Day has been celebrated every June 5th since 1974.
