Aurania’s President, Dr. Richard Spencer delivers a presentation about the principles of sediment-hosted copper districts and how they apply to Aurania’s red-bed sediments in the Chapiza Formation in southeastern Ecuador.
Dr. Spencer explains that the Company’s Tsenken and Tiria-Shimpia target areas have everything that is required to have a mineral deposit: the source of metals and means of dissolving them (volcanic and intrusive rocks, salt, gypsum, anhydrite), the transportation of metals within the system (plumbing system), the fluid channeling mechanism (faults and folds), and metal traps (evaporites, hydrocarbons).
